Deep Pain is Deep Clarity

Phil Kreutzer is a spiritual teacher, nervous system specialist, and somatic energy integration coach with a passion for supporting people in awakening to their true self. He has developed an original approach which draws on somatic experiencing, mindfulness, breath work, and other intuitive practices to help clients integrate energetic blocks, enhance their intuitive ability, and connect directly with higher intelligence. Phil is the founder of Consciousness of Healing, a cohort based experiential mastermind for clinicians and healers that is both informative and transformative. Phil guides participants in uncovering their true selves, awakening their healer’s intuition and learning to live into perpetual FLOW state.

In this episode of TechTalk Podcast, Brad Cost, Dr. Jay Greenstein, and Phil Kreutzer sit down to discuss:

  • How Phil realized deep pain led to deep clarity.

  • Spiritual coaching and experiencing flow becoming.

  • Wiping the mirror vs wiping your face and Phil's program's deliverables.

SHOW NOTES:

2:46 – Deep pain is deep clarity. “Let's go back 10 years ago to when I met Jay as a Cadre member in a completely different life where I was running video production at a marketing company that I founded with a couple of their buddies. I did that for a number of years, but it wasn’t a zone of genius and there was no passion or purpose behind it. Eight years ago, the love of my life broke up with me and that was my ticket back to my true self. I lived this tiny existence that was based in fear and anxiety, and I realized so much of my true self was offline. I didn't have access to it, but I knew it existed. So often, the heartbreak is a catalyst because deep pain is deep clarity, if we embrace it. It brought me to the clarity of all the things that weren't working in my life. I was ready to face all my fears, so I decided to leave my company and book a one-way ticket to Asia to do two years of solo international travel with no curriculum other than following my highest excitement, curiosity, or whatever was going to ignite my soul. Two years later, I started a coaching practice, where I've been teaching people to receive more and more of their truth. You can think of truth as your true self. When we come into this world, we are inspiration personified. We are the true self without the conditioning, without all the trauma, without all the stuff that programs us out of the true self.”

6:57 – NASA geniuses. “NASA did a really amazing study where they were trying to quantify and measure human genius to qualify applicants to become astronauts because they wanted the best of the best. They want geniuses to be able to problem solve, so they came up with this way of measuring that on kids. At the age of five, 98% of kids are scoring at a genius level. At the age of 10, it's 30%. At the age of 15, it's 12%. At the age of adults, it's down to 2%. It perfectly correlates with our programming, with our schooling, with our socialization and with our conditioning. We are literally conditioned out of our true self, out of the genius state that we always have access to. That's what happened to me to an extreme degree. I was at that 2% level and living my life outside of it, knowing that it was somewhere. Now, I live in a state of perpetual flow where infinite intelligence is just readily available. That's my story that I've been living and that's what I'm teaching. I'm excited to dive a little deeper into that because there's implications for homeostasis and the consciousness of healing. Everything's centering around energy.”

8:34 - Hiring a spiritual coach. “Be careful because there are so many interesting characters out there. For me in my practice, we treat the whole individual and go to the root level. The answer to human potential is in simplification and not spiraling into greater complexity. I think I failed high school physics because it was just too complex and did not compute in my brain. Now, I teach and live in metaphysics. Somehow, I became a mathematician in my profession accidentally through experience and intuition. The math is from experiential knowing. For me, I'm working with people on a root level, tuning into their energy and feeling out their unlived truth. How can we support the release of that because, ultimately, truth wants to flow. If we're not living in our truth, it's actually biologically and spiritually taxing because it literally requires our energy to resist it. All we need to do is open up to this truth that's already wanting to come online with built-in momentum and energetic funding from the universe.”

14:41 – Feeling rather than listening. “It can be hard, but it can also be very easy. In the NASA study that I cited, the disassociation from the body is accounting for that degrading correlation in our trajectory. The body is where we access our clarity, our wisdom, our flow state. We're living from up here in the mind, which is linear thinking. The body is plugged into infinite intelligence, which is quantum. I generally lead off with inviting the listeners to listen for a place of feeling rather than listening from the mind. If you remember in high school and college, we were trying to consume and absorb information. How effective was that? Probably not very effective because it went to our short-term memory. If you're listening from a place of feeling, you're actually plugged in to the innate intelligence within. If something resonates, it integrates because there's an intelligent process going on. It's instantaneous. There's no lag. It's a present moment experience. Ultimately, disassociation challenges living above the neck and trying. But if we listen from a place of feeling, which is a place of receiving, then our energetic capacity is available to us.”

19:17 – The mind is separate. “The mind is dual hemisphere, and it's also considered a separation consciousness. The heart is singular - there's no there's no duality there. There's not pros and cons. The heart is directly connected to the moment, so when we're feeling energy, that's in present now experience. When we tap into that, that is the portal by which we access flow state because flow is energy flowing feeling feelings. I can elaborate on some different case studies, but the mind is separate. It's in time and there's an interplay there, but it can get a little complicated for explanation here.”

20:43 – Flow becoming. “Flow is a huge industry and performance, but a lot of it is about flow hacking. I'm teaching flow becoming. The way that we process all of the unprocessed lower density pain, traumas, fears, limiting beliefs, unprocessed emotion, that's what's clogging our flow. That's what's leading to disassociation. The journey of coming from head back into the body is one of processing those layers out. The more and more we process those layers out, the more we just clear our channel to access this flow state because that is what's blocking it.”

22:04 – Taste the honey for yourself. “It's experiential. If you asked a Zen master what enlightenment feels, he’ll answer, ‘I can tell you what honey tastes like, but you got to taste it for yourself.’ Michael Jackson, in the early nineties, was quoted as saying, ‘I can't miss a day in the studio because if I do Prince will get my songs.’ He was dead serious because what he understood is that it's a matter of flow. It's a matter of receiving and a matter of tuning in. All the great creatives throughout time talk about this. Einstein was huge at this. I've learned, as a student of the game, how unprocessed emotion blocks that creative flow and inhibits it.”

24:00 – Finding different brain states. “Two things going on there. There is the actual metaphysical meaning of energy blockage of flow. We're talking about emotions on process emotions. There are also different brainwaves that we get into, so right before sleep, we're in a very creative state - theta state. Theta state is also what allows neuroplasticity to be more available. When you're waking up in the middle of night, that's what's going on. You have a different brainwave that gives you more access. This is why Benjamin Franklin had the rocking chair invented. As soon as he fell asleep, he would fall back just enough for the weight to drop, and it would wake him up. It was to purposely get himself in this type of brain state.”

30:07 - Awaken Through Anxiety. “I actually created a program called Awaken Through Anxiety, and I call it that because anxiety is the truth. It's just the resistance of the truth that's wanting to come online. In the research, I looked into the etymology of anxiety and, if you go back far enough, it actually went back to the book of Job and was initially choking of the spirit. We're choking off of the flow of truth. If you look into the etymology of inspiration, it's to allow the breath of the divine in. Anxiety is two things. Number one, it's a resistance and constriction of the flow of energy in the moment. Number two, it's a worry that things are not going be okay in the future. The remedy for both is to receive the moment deeply. Feel our feelings, breathe and receive. Instead of restricting against the flow of truth, we're softening to allow it to move through. All we need to do is meet those requirements to breathe and welcome whatever presents because the body's innate intelligence knows precisely the most direct and efficient path to homeostasis."

35:18 – Are you wiping the mirror or your face? “For the first time, I've created a curriculum for clinicians and chiros. It's a three-month journey that I take people on. We're not only learning how it works, but experiencing how it works. We're coming into greater truth as a group as we move forward in time. One of our mutual friends uses this analogy. They say, if you look in the mirror and see dirt on your face, are you going to wipe the mirror or your face? Most of us are out here mirror wiping, trying to improve our lives and wondering why the dirt doesn't go away. Our outer world is just a reflection of our inner world. By processing coming into greater truths, we're quite literally wiping our faces, right? We're processing what is untruth to reveal more truth. When we wipe our faces, the dirt has to leave. As we shift our vibration, as we move forward in time through this program, things just appear in our life magically because we're coming into greater authenticity and the authentic alignment has to reflect on the outside.”

36:31 – Program deliverables. “We capped at eight people, so we got a small group going on a three-month experiential journey. The main deliverables are, as you come into greater truth, your intuition comes online. This particular cohort is all clinician-based, so your healers intuition is going to come online like crazy. Number one, you're processing into greater truth and just have more access in that way. Number two, we're demystifying metaphysics. We're demystifying the consciousness of healing. Tesla said if you want to understand the universe, you need to think of energy, frequency, and vibration. When we see reality through the lens of energy, it's just a big energetic math equation. If we learn the metaphysical math, then we start to know how someone processes fear out of the body or how someone has pain or how that pain is already wanting to move out of the body. We just learn how the nervous system is almost like a musical instrument. You push here or let up a little bit here. You create a little safety here and now that pain is able to exit the body because it's already wanting to maneuver up and out. We're learning those principles and energy dynamics. It just becomes really fun because it's so cool to just awaken to that whole new world, especially if you're already a healer and already work in that space. This is just going to take things to another level.”

38:49 – Making miracles reality. “One of the things that I teach in the program is that miracles have become anomalous and that's interesting because everything's a miracle. Ohio state football winning national championship this year. Miracle. Truly we're waking up to the miracle because we came in as inspiration personified and then we got disassociated through being born into this legacy paradigm, which just takes our genius and conditions us out of it. The journey is a reawakening to that miracle. It's a journey that takes some time because how much miracle frequency can we allow in our fields? Spiritual awakening is a very real phenomenon with different chapters in the journey that are standard across the experience. I work with Ivy league, mental health professionals, very successful entrepreneurs. Everyone has the same kind of standard of experience. When we start having these experiences of uncanny synchronicity of the right place, right time, it’s just too nuts. It’s out of a movie. We're not used to the miracle. We become so disassociated or disconnected from it that we're actually calling it crazy when it's the most real. It's also a function of our nervous system for it to be too much for me to process right now. We place friction on that potential energy, manifesting into our life. If we say this is amazing or this is incredible, we're reifying or lubricating that potential energy to manifest. We also need to ground ourselves and ultimately, you do get kind of used to it. The more you get used to it, the more miracles just become reality for you.”

41:23 – Religion is a social construct. “Religion is a social construct, and everything comes from divinity, right? It has its own kind of things that come with social construct with humans running the show for a while. There's that piece, but we're able to plug directly into God. No question about it and we can have these very peak amazing experiences, which is a huge spectrum of what that can be. I've experienced all kinds of different things that are just like really euphoric and moving, and certainly connecting with higher intelligence.”
